Turn to Salt by Marie de Villepin Private Tour (22 Oct 2025)

Les Lumières de Paris Hong Kong Chapter is delighted to reflect on the success of the private tour of the "Turn to Salt" exhibition by Marie de Villepin, graciously hosted on 22 October 2025 at the Villepin Gallery, 53 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong, under the patronage of our esteemed board member, Arthur de Villepin. This evocative collection, unveiled on 25 September 2025, masterfully explores the interplay of memory and transformation through layered compositions and textured canvases, with salt symbolising both preservation and erosion—a theme resonant with the artist’s own lyrical compositions.

The tour, offered to members on 22 October, provided a profound opportunity to engage with Marie de Villepin’s poignant inquiry into reconciling with the past, aligning seamlessly with LLDPHK’s mission to foster Sino-French cultural exchange and reflection, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who participated in this enriching experience.
