On 16 May 2026, the Les Lumières de Paris Hong Kong Chapter (LLDPHK) conducted a bespoke "Art-Plus-Tech" study tour to Shenzhen and Dongguan, exploring the innovative intersection of traditional craftsmanship and world-class technology.


Preserving Heritage through Precision: Artron Art House


Following a collaborative lunch at Laurel Restaurant, the day commenced at Artron Art House, China’s premier fine art printing house. Members were given an exclusive look at the China Art Database, the nation's largest digital repository of Chinese artworks. The group witnessed firsthand how Artron utilizes cutting-edge 420MP German CRUSE scanners and proprietary color management systems to achieve unparalleled fidelity in art reproduction, ensuring that cultural heritage is preserved and accessible for the digital age.

Defining the Digital Future: Huawei Headquarters

The delegation proceeded to the Huawei Headquarters in Dongguan. The afternoon was dedicated to exploring Huawei’s latest technological advancements and global digital infrastructure. The visit offered profound insights into how technical excellence can serve as a catalyst for cultural connectivity and international cooperation—a core tenet of the LLDPHK mission.

A Token of Appreciation

To mark this successful exchange, President for Greater China, Daniel Chan, presented Certificates of Appreciation to both Artron and Huawei as a formal thank-you for their exceptional hospitality. In a gracious exchange of tokens, our delegation was also honoured to receive a commemorative souvenir from the Huawei team, symbolising our mutual commitment to the 'Art-Plus-Tech' synergy that defines our modern era.


The day concluded with a commemorative dinner, celebrating the strengthened ties between the Hong Kong SAR, the Chinese Mainland, and the global French cultural community.
