Mila Lights "Evolution" Exhibition (18 Dec 2025)

Les Lumières de Paris Hong Kong Chapter is delighted to reflect upon the private visit to Mila Lights' "Evolution" exhibition, hosted on the late afternoon of 18 Dec 2025. This special collection marked a pivotal transition in the artist's journey from instinctive expression to a profound immersion in light, sound, and material, featuring over thirty previously unpublished works that invited viewers to experience transformation through her evocative depiction of light—as she poignantly describes it, the purest form of emotion.

Commenced in Seoul and completed in Hong Kong during the exhibition, a central round painting wove light with Nüshu, an ancient script crafted by Chinese women, forging a bridge across places, time, and sentiment. The tour, organised by curator Jeremy Weltmann for LLDPHK members, provided an intimate exploration of Mila Lights' multifaceted background as a French artist without borders—shaped by her childhood between the United States and France, her musical career with global tours, and her reinvention through abstract, gestural paintings—culminating in performances blending sonic compositions, dance, and visuals in a shamanic scenography.
