Bastille Day 2026 Celebration (13 Jul 2026)
Les Lumières de Paris Hong Kong Chapter (LLDPHK) was delighted to join the French community, diplomats, and cultural partners in celebrating
Bastille Day 2026. The official French National Day Reception, hosted by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, was a
vibrant showcase of the enduring friendship and deep-rooted cooperation between China and France, as well as Hong Kong and Paris.
A Celebration of French Excellence and Innovation
The atmosphere at the reception was exceptionally spirited, blending authentic French lifestyle with forward-looking ingenuity. Guests mingled while enjoying exquisite French gastronomy. In a nod to the growing "Art-Plus-Tech" synergy that LLDPHK passionately champions, the evening also highlighted France’s latest cutting-edge innovations in robotics and artificial intelligence. Adding a beautifully interactive touch to the evening, guests were also invited to a bespoke perfume-making counter. Here, attendees could select and blend one or two exquisite scents to craft their own personalised fragrance, taking home a miniature bottle as a unique, sensory souvenir of the celebration.
Bidding Farewell to Consul General Mrs Drulhe
This year’s celebration carried profound significance, marking the final Bastille Day reception in Hong Kong during the tenure of Consul General Mrs Christile Drulhe. Reflecting on her highly successful four years of diplomatic service, LLDPHK extends its deepest gratitude to Mrs Drulhe for her rich, dynamic, and transformative contributions to Sino-French relations. Her steadfast support of our Chapter and her warm personal friendship have left an indelible mark on our community, and we wish her every success as she breaks new ground in the next chapter of her distinguished career.
